Ethiopia Buliye - Limited Edition

Buno Coffee Trading is a small-ish exporter, running 7 wash stations in the stunning Guji zone of southern Ethiopia. This region has vertiginous terroir (over 2000 masl), plus young, robust trees that mature slowly, creating awesome cup qualities. Coffee's grown near the lush forests of the hills & villages, shaded by indigenous trees like Cordia Africana, Acacia & Albizzia. 'Buliye' is Oromoo for 'boarding': the name of the village where this coffee's produced. 11 farmers contributed, w/ an average farm size of 5 hectares - they get around 45-50 Birr/kg for their cherry! The native soil is volcanic red soil & sandy loam, & the area grows under false banana, acacia & Wanza trees.
